I have just watched Happy Go Lucky, and I must say what an amazing performance. I missed it at the cinema, so I was chuffed when it came on Film 4.
You were faultless and so real.

As a man with two daughters older than you and another just slightly younger, I would like to compliment you on your artistic craft. My wife and I just watched your role in ‘Persuasion’, and I cannot express the emotion you evoked. She (my wife) told me that if I didn’t get it together, she was going to have to buy me some pantyhose.

My wife and I just watcjed your film, Happy-Go-Lucky last night. I can’t find the right words to express how much I enjoyed the movie and your performance in the character of Poppy was both brilliant and inspirational. Just imagine what a wonderful world we would share if everyone had a little Poppy in them. The producers could not have picked a better actress to portray her inner and outer qualities…You were magificant!!

D’ ailleurs j’ espère que vous ne comprenez pas le français, cela m’ arrange ;o))

Je voulais juste vous témoigner de mon admiration pour vos films, que ce soit “Cassandra’s dream” , “Happy go lucky” ou “layer cake” que je viens de revoir avec plaisir.

Je vous trouve éblouissante, lumineuse, magnifique, drôle, naturelle… vous illuminez l’ écran… j’ adorerai vous voir sur scène, au théatre…

Bref, merci à vous pour tous ces petits bijoux de films.. en souhaitant que le monde du cinéma vous reconnaisse enfin comme une grande actrice
