The final push: Rachael Stirling Online Charity Auction Ends Today!

In case you weren’t already aware of it, the wonderful online charity auction being hosted by Rachael Stirling Online ends today at 7:30 PM GMT!

We really should have given you an update a few days ago (sorry Bonnie!) but the event, which is in aid of “Too Many Women“, the campaign to raise £1 million pounds for the charity “Breakthrough Breast Cancer“, has – at the time of this post – already attracted over 190 bids totalling a staggering £2,000!

The items have all been donated by Rachael Stirling and others, including the original scripts – Episodes 1, 2 and 3 from Tipping the Velvet (2002); props from show – phallus and harness (display purposes only) and “Nan King” door plate; afternoon tea with Rachael Stirling; personalised signed photographs – by Rachael Stirling and Fiona Button; and many others.

So if you are a fan of the show, a fan of Rachael Stirling or just want just to give money to a worthy cause, please do visit the official charity auction page and make a bid, or you can also donate via their JustGiving page as well.

Fans of Sally Hawkins will undoubtedly also know of Rachael Stirling, one of the main stars in Tipping the Velvet (2002), a TV drama that also featured Sally! We are therefore honoured and pleased to be able to tell you that Rachael Stirling Online is working with Rachael Stirling in organising an online charity auction in aid of “Too Many Women“, the campaign to raise £1 million pounds for the charity “Breakthrough Breast Cancer“.

The online auction will start on Wednesday, 18th May 2011 from 7:30pm GMT, and you can find out a lot more information by clicking on the banner below:

The items have mostly been donated by Rachael Stirling from her own “Tipping the Velvet” collection, and fans of the TV drama will probably be more than interested in items such as:

James Cordon will marry Sally Hawkins if they’re both single at 35?

The private life of Sally Hawkins has always been just that… i.e. private (as it should definitely be!) so it was with some interest that I read this news on Digitalspy.co.uk (May 13th 2008) by Alex Fletcher entitled “Corden reveals Hawkins marriage deal”:

James Corden has said that he will marry actress Sally Hawkins if they are both still single at 35.

The comedian revealed the pair had struck a deal to ensure that they didn’t end up growing old alone.

“I’ve always had a healthy level of female interest,” Corden told the Daily Record. “In an ideal world I’d marry Sally Hawkins.

“We’ve made a deal that if we’re both single at 35, we’ll have babies and get married.”

Corden co-hosted the BAFTA Craft Awards with the Happy-Go-Lucky star in London last week.

I wonder if Sally Hawkins will ever bring this up in an interview?
