Look Out For Sally In Theatres Near You in 2006/2007!

Looks like Sally‘s been mighty busy this year! Let’s see, she’s finished filming 2 movies co-starring with some of the well-known Hollywood actors. The movies you need to look out for that will be in theatres in the upcoming months (2006-07) are as follows:

First off, there’s “The Painted Veil,” a drama based on a novel by W. Somerset Maugham. She stars alongside some of Hollywood’s hottest actors, i.e. Naomi Watts, Edward Norton & Liev Schrieber. It’s scheduled to be released in Fall 2006. Click “Read the rest” below to find out about the premise…

The other one is called “Waz,” a serial killer flick set in New York, starring the critically-acclaimed international actor, Stellan Skarsgard & Hollywood’s Selma Blair. It’s currently in post-production and is scheduled to be released in January 2007…

Sally Takes Centre Stage in BBC’s “Shiny Shiny Bright New Hole In My Heart”

Yes, it seems that Sally‘s got a knack in starring in some of the longest titles ever concocted on TV!! In 2005, she gave us “Twenty Thousand Streets Under The Sky.” This year, it’s “Shiny Shiny Bright New Hole In My Heart“!! Ain’t that great? She takes centre-stage this time playing a shopaholic! Yes, “Shiny Shiny…” is a cautionary tale about a wife/mother being addicted to shopping.

This engaging drama was first aired on BBC 2 on 26th July, 2006. Don’t know if BBC will re-air it so keep a look out if you missed it the 1st time around. Find out more below…

Sally spotted with a new look at the Bafta’s

At this year’s Bafta Awards ceremony, Sally was spotted at the same table with Elaine Cassidy sporting a new hair do! This was first picked up by Bashamkaty (from Sally Hawkins Domain, and it is possible to see her for yourself thanks to the video made available at the same site by Girlwithglasses.

“Fingersmith” is nominated for the Bafta Awards

“Fingersmith” was one of four nominees for the Best Drama Serial for the 2006 Bafta Awards. Other nominations included Bleak House, Funland, and To the Ends of the Earth.

A few site updates…

Life has been awfully busy for a while, but finally a few site updates:

• Guestbook – Our previous guestbook received daily visits from automated spambots, so we’ve now updated the guestbook to minimise auto-spam. Unfortunately all of the previous entries were lost as a result, so if you like the site, please do leave us a note as it is much appreciated!
• Fanlisting – A software update meant that the Join and Update membership forms for the fanlisting were down for a quite a long time, an issue which has now been resolved. Apologies for the inconvenience if you have tried to join recently.
• Audio Clips – Last, but not least, the Audio Clips section has been updated to include more clips of Sally in the radio comedy Concrete Cow. There are a few more clips to come after this so please check back for future updates.
