The Winterling” is compelling play written by Jez Butterworth, who brought us the award-winning “Mojo” & “The Night Heron,” and is directed by Ian Rickson, again. It has a stellar cast.

The story is about West (Robert Glenister), a middle-aged ex-gangster who has had a breakdown and finds himself in Dartmoor, in exile from his usual city environment. The plot is about what happens when Wally (Jerome Flynn), a former associate, comes to stay, and West’s former life catches up with him. The farmhouse in Dartmoor also accommodates Lue (,b>Sally Hawkins), a waif who compulsively plans the escape she seems fated never to achieve; and Wally’s stepson, Patsy (Daniel Mays).

The Winterling” has already received rave reviews from various major news publications already. So, Sally fans, go on, check out the play already before it’s gone!
